Jacob McCoy
Filmmaker, and Director, Production at Third Wall Studio. We have made things together since Book of Sarth.
Jacob McCoy is a filmmaker and visual artist working across documentary, music video and site-specific installation, and Director, Production at Third Wall Studio. He directed, shot and edited the documentary on The Gauntlet, the choral and movement work by Sxip Shirey and Coco Karol, streamed by the Sydney Opera House in 2020, and made the archival film for their We Don’t Need the Sea to Drown at National Sawdust in 2025 and 2026. He plays Linnstrument and bass.
On March 2nd, 2015, Jacob and I got together to record some Linnstrument / Continuum Fingerboard duets. It was also Lou Reed's birthday, and this piece reminded me of things we explored together. Drones, close intervals, sum and difference frequencies. And Lou loved his Continuum Fingerboard. So this is dedicated to him.

From Book of Sarth to Third Wall
He was one of the four people I thanked when Book of Sarth was finished in 2012: Jacob McCoy is unstoppable.
On March 2, 2015, Lou Reed’s birthday, we recorded Linnstrument and Continuum duets; one became “For Lovers,” dedicated to Lou, filmed that spring and released as a single in 2020. He plays the Linnstrument drones on the second Introspections video, filmed and edited the two duets with Sxip Shirey that same year, and plays bass on “I Just Believe in Christmas.”
At Third Wall Studio he is Director, Production, and he directed three of the studio’s films, all made in Burlap: Meatsuitz – Dare to be Delicious, a meat-themed swimwear ad, December 2025; Meatsuitz Family Vacay, January 2026; and Through the Brambles, the studio’s 360° VR film, May 2026.
