# Our “Security” is an Auto-Immune Disease

What does the problem really stem from?

It is the systematic misrepresentation of the causes of violence. The consistent exaggeration of the threat of violence.

In panic we fall back on our primitive reflex to eradicate what is different, or what dissents.

This, to me, is a microcosm of what we’ve become. Fearfully and callously empowering our enforcers to do whatever they choose to crush any resistance to law or order.
