# Electrix Filter Queen

A half-rack analogue filter from the Electrix line, with an envelope follower, an LFO and an expression-pedal input. On my table now.

The Filter Queen is a half-rack analogue filter from Electrix, the performance line IVL Technologies made in Victoria, British Columbia, around 1999 to 2002: a resonant filter with an envelope follower, an LFO and an input for an expression pedal, made to be played rather than programmed.

I use three of the Electrix boxes now: the Filter Queen, and the [Filter Factory](/devices/electrix-filter-factory/) and [Mo-FX](/devices/electrix-mo-fx/). I never used the Repeater, the looper in the line; two people I played with did, [Brandt Passalacqua](/conspirators/brandt-passalacqua/) and [Gregory Cage](/conspirators/gregory-cage/).

The line: The Electrix performance line, from IVL Technologies in Victoria, British Columbia, around 1999 to 2002: the [Repeater](https://www.vintagesynth.com/electrix-pro/repeater), a four-track loop sampler; the Filter Queen, a half-rack analogue filter; the Filter Factory, a full-size stereo analogue filter; the Warp Factory, a vocoder; the Mo-FX, a tempo-synced multi-effect; the EQ Killer, a three-band isolator. The line was discontinued in 2002.
