Lou Petto is a drummer who lives and works in the New Jersey and New York City area, playing across genres, composing, and making live and studio soundscapes for film. He drums on “Softly Questioning,” the third track of *Reflections, Vol. 1* (November 2015).

## Softly Questioning

“Softly Questioning,” the third track of [*Reflections, Vol. 1*](/conspiracies/reflections-vol-1/), is a duet for Continuum Fingerboard and his drums, improvised and recorded in one take with no editing. Its melody became the main theme of [Joe Kelly](/conspirators/joe-kelly/)’s film [*Poughkeepsie*](/conspiracies/poughkeepsie/), and I returned to it as “[Softly Questioning (Reprise)](/transmissions/singles/)” in 2025.
