She tours and records as a solo act, cello and voice unaccompanied by other musicians or fancy machinery. She recently co-starred as Emily Dickinson in Ridge Theater's "Lighting at Our Feet," playing and singing music composed by Michael Gordon. She's contributed her cello to a long list of recording artists including Ziggy Marley, Rufus Wainwright, Dr. John, Nancy Sinatra, Joel Thome, and David Bowie. When performing with Lucibel Crater, Leah takes on many roles, one minute she's a beat poet and her cello becomes an upright bass, the next she's a cello playing hendrix, soul singing and feedback soloing. ### Latest: #### Video: Could I Mar. 22, 2010 [Embedded player](https://www.youtube.com/embed/3n2gQjBdF8Y) Filed Under: [Leah Coloff](/category/conspirators/leah-coloff/), [Lucibel Crater](/category/conspiracies/lucibel-crater/), [Paul Chuffo](/category/conspirators/paul-chuffo/), [Video](/category/visuals/video/) #### [Video: Exactly Where You Are](/video-exactly-where-you-are/) Mar. 22, 2010 [Embedded player](https://www.youtube.com/embed/3oFHUSBIXX8) Filed Under: [Leah Coloff](/category/conspirators/leah-coloff/), [Lucibel Crater](/category/conspiracies/lucibel-crater/), [Paul Chuffo](/category/conspirators/paul-chuffo/), [Video](/category/visuals/video/) #### [Video: Metal Machine Trio infiltrates Lucibel Crater](/video-metal-machine-trio-infiltrates-lucibel-crater/) Mar. 22, 2010 [Embedded player](https://www.youtube.com/embed/KoC659eO0M8) Filed Under: [Leah Coloff](/category/conspirators/leah-coloff/), [Lucibel Crater](/category/conspiracies/lucibel-crater/), [Metal Machine Trio](/category/conspiracies/metal-machine-trio/), [Paul Chuffo](/category/conspirators/paul-chuffo/), [Video](/category/visuals/video/) Tags: [Video](/tag/video/) #### [Video: Lucibel Crater – Noise I Groove – Blue Stationwagon](/video-lucibel-crater-noise-i-groove-blue-stationwagon/) Mar. 22, 2010 [Embedded player](https://www.youtube.com/embed/zNl3CzG_SRo) Filed Under: [Leah Coloff](/category/conspirators/leah-coloff/), [Lucibel Crater](/category/conspiracies/lucibel-crater/), [Paul Chuffo](/category/conspirators/paul-chuffo/), [Video](/category/visuals/video/) Tags: [Video](/tag/video/) #### [Video: Lucibel Crater – Elvis Costello – Green Shirt](/video-lucibel-crater-elvis-costello-green-shirt/) Mar. 22, 2010 [Embedded player](https://www.youtube.com/embed/Q_s6KzcJp6w) Filed Under: [Leah Coloff](/category/conspirators/leah-coloff/), [Lucibel Crater](/category/conspiracies/lucibel-crater/), [Paul Chuffo](/category/conspirators/paul-chuffo/), [Video](/category/visuals/video/) Tags: [Video](/tag/video/) ### Listen: ### Discography: - [Lucibel Crater : The Family Album](/transmissions/the-family-album/) ### Videos: - Video: Could I - [Video: Exactly Where You Are](/video-exactly-where-you-are/) - [Video: Metal Machine Trio infiltrates Lucibel Crater](/video-metal-machine-trio-infiltrates-lucibel-crater/) - [Video: Lucibel Crater – Noise I Groove – Blue Stationwagon](/video-lucibel-crater-noise-i-groove-blue-stationwagon/) - [Video: Lucibel Crater – Elvis Costello – Green Shirt](/video-lucibel-crater-elvis-costello-green-shirt/) - [Video: Lucibel Crater – Masticate](/masicate-video/) ### Conspiracies: - [Lucibel Crater](/category/conspiracies/lucibel-crater/) ### Links: - [Leah Coloff's website](http://leahcoloff.com/) - [Leah Coloff's Myspace Page](http://www.myspace.com/leahcoloff) ## September 9, 2014 Leah Coloff is a brooklyn-based cellist/singer/songwriter who's first album "Dark Sweet Heart" was greeted with critical praise and college radio play in the US.
